Celest was born on May 17, 1992. She was bred by my parents, Birgitta and Kenneth Brunhoff.
Celest was one of four puppies, the other three were black/tan. Her sister, SE Ch Eyebright's Cassiopeia, went to Ixa-Rag's kennel. I was taking an evening course in astronomy at Lund University when Celest and her sibblings were born, hence their names: Celest, Cassiopeia, Castor and Callisto! |

Ruth Corkhill, kennel Redash, awarded Celest her third C.C. in 1995, at the first official show organized by the Swedish Norwich Terrier Club. |

The first litter Celest got at Gryphon's were sired by my parents' Ch Cobby's Boizel Rosé and contained two bitch puppies, Ch Gryphon's Cordelia and Gryphon's Corona. Cordelia lived with us her entire life and became my first homebred champion. Corona (a.k.a. Holly) lived most of her life with Lena Malmquist and her family; Holly died in December 2010 at the age of 15 1/2. |

Celest's last litter was born in 1999 and was sired by Ch Cobby's Famous Rebel. He was one and a half years old and had never been used at stud before. (His famous(!) son, GB Ch Ragus Rings True, was born in 2007 and was Third Top Dog in the UK in 2008.) This litter contained three puppies: Gryphon's Cadmus, Gryphon's Calliope (2 C.Cs.) and Gryphon's Cleio. |
